Jack Lalanne

The incredible Jack Lalanne is considered the father of modern fitness by many. He is truly such an incredible inspiration. He worked out everyday up until the day that he died at age 96. Back in the day, Jack Lalanne was a bodybuilder, personal trainer, and the first fitness expert to have his own television show. When he was young he was sickly, and had nothing to do with health and fitness. After getting tired of being angry, sick and tired all of the time he chose to do something about it. He went to a seminar held by a health pioneer of the time, Paul Bragg.

After learning how to eat right, Jack Lalanne began to study practically every form of exercise. He opened a gym, and was telling everyone that they should be lifting weights for health. Keep in mind that that was a time when people thought that weight lifting was dangerous, and not healthy for average people. In addition to sharing a great wealth of knowledge to many people, he also accomplished many feats of endurance. For example, he once performed 1033 push-ups in 23 minutes. Jack Lalanne is the initial push that got the ball rolling, and his legacy continues to add to it even to this day.
